In March 2022, alGROWithm unveiled a groundbreaking initiative by commencing the development of Africa’s inaugural Growth Talent Accelerator Program (GTAP). Fast forward to the present day, and alGROWithm is once again making significant strides, this time securing a game-changing funding injection from Digital Africa. This funding marks a significant milestone for alGROWithm and holds promising implications for the African tech startup ecosystem, as it unlocks talent-driven pathways for sustainable growth.
It facilitates two key endeavors for alGROWithm this year: offering scholarships to aspiring Growth Hackers to participate in their programs and expanding their training initiatives into new African markets. GTAP now stands as a cornerstone offering within alGROWithm Academy’s EdTech portfolio. It welcomes applicants from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and South Africa, broadening its reach alongside its original bases in Nigeria and Ghana. Applications for the next cohort close in February. Bili Sule, Founder and Chief Growth Officer, sheds light on alGROWithm’s strategic vision, noting, “Since our pilot in 2022, we’ve pinpointed two critical needs within the ecosystem. There’s a consistent demand for more Growth Hacking talent, evidenced by the rapid employment of our past trainees. Secondly, we’ve observed that many companies are eager to up-skill their existing teams rather than starting anew with fresh talent.”
Introducing GTAP Lite and GTAP Pro—two dynamic program variations tailored for individuals and companies, respectively. GTAP Lite represents the 100% online version designed for individual Growth enthusiasts, while GTAP Pro empowers companies to elevate their internal teams into Growth Engineers. Pro is deployed through a hybrid delivery structure, encompassing in-person Growth Hacking bootcamps alongside online lectures and workshops.
Bili Sule underscores, “We successfully implemented the Pro model with companies such as Paga, Figorr, and Kebble last year, yielding excellent results. This has solidified our decision to continue offering both propositions. In the current year alone, our goal is to train over 150 Growth Leads across East, West, and Southern Africa. This underscores our unwavering dedication to bridging the Growth talent gap in the ecosystem and propelling African businesses to unprecedented heights.”
For individuals aspiring to join the esteemed ranks of Africa’s top Growth Engineers, alGROWithm’s GTAP represents more than just a program; it signifies a transformative journey.
