The Wyoming Business Council has announced its second federally funded equity investment in Frontline Wildfire Defense, a prominent wildfire defense company. This investment aims to support the company in expanding its residential and commercial operations.
Frontline Wildfire Defense, established in Wyoming in 2017, is dedicated to safeguarding homes, families, and communities from wildfires. Over years of research and development, Frontline has developed a unique wildfire protection approach, providing an initial defense line to protect properties from wildfires.
The company’s founder and CEO, Harry Statter, initially developed a prototype system for homes and structures in Jackson Hole. In 2018, the Wyoming Business Council supported Frontline through the Kickstart grant program, funding the production of the initial version of the Frontline Wildfire Defense System, which was installed in and around the Teton region, contributing to the protection of structures during the 61,511-acre Roosevelt fire in the fall of 2018.
With this investment from the Wyoming Venture Capital program, Frontline has now raised over $12 million in total funding. The Frontline Wildfire Defense System 2 is presently available to property owners in Wyoming, California, and Oregon, with plans to expand its coverage to the entire United States and Canada in the near future.
The Wyoming Venture Capital team is actively conducting due diligence and finalizing direct investments in various Wyoming-based companies. Additionally, they are collaborating with emerging venture capital firms focused on Wyoming to help them raise their initial funds.
