    Visa (NYSE: V) has announced the appointment of Aminata Kane as Senior Vice President and Head of Western and Central Africa, effective September 4, 2025.

    Kane will be based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, where she will lead Visa’s newly formed sub-regional team. Her leadership will cover 23 markets through Visa’s strategic offices in Abidjan, Accra, Kinshasa, and Lagos.


    A Track Record of Excellence in Digital Finance

    Aminata Kane is widely respected for her contributions to digital financial services and telecommunications, with over a decade of executive leadership experience at Orange’s operations in the Middle East and Africa.

    Most recently, she served as Regional CEO for Orange Money Group, managing Orange Money and Orange Bank Africa across 17 countries.


    Championing Inclusion and Empowerment

    Kane is also known for her commitment to youth and women empowerment. She was instrumental in founding the Orange Foundation and Orange Digital Center in Sierra Leone, creating platforms to equip individuals with essential digital and leadership skills.

    An Inspiring Career Journey

    Before her tenure at Orange, Kane began her career at Goldman Sachs and later worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Paris, specializing in financial strategy and market growth.

    A graduate of HEC Paris and the MIT Sloan School of Management, Kane has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and was recently named among the Top 100 Women CEOs in Africa.
