VivaTech Opens Applications for Fourth Edition of AfricaTech Awards
The annual technology conference VivaTech, based in Paris, has announced the opening of applications for the fourth edition of its AfricaTech Awards. These awards aim to recognize and support innovative startups that are driving positive change in sectors such as green technology, e-health, and e-commerce/fintech.
Supporting African Innovation
The AfricaTech Awards initiative seeks to create new opportunities for startups across the African continent. Through this program, VivaTech facilitates networking and mentoring experiences for participating startups. This includes connections with influential leaders in the technology sector, prominent investors, policymakers, and key institutions.
Focus Areas for 2025
This year, the awards will feature three distinct challenges centered on:
- Green Technology
- E-Health
- E-Commerce/Fintech
Finalists selected in each category will have the opportunity to attend the VivaTech event. At the event, they will present their innovations on stage, gaining exposure to a wider audience of potential partners and investors.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AfricaTech Awards, startups must meet the following criteria:
- Be headquartered in Africa.
- Focus on the African market.
- Have successfully raised over US$150,000 in funding.
Application Deadline
Applications are now open and will close on March 2. Interested startups can submit their applications through the designated application portal.
