In February 2023, CcHub unveiled an exciting partnership with the Mastercard Foundation as part of the Mastercard Foundation Ed-Tech Fellowship Programme, announcing the launch of a groundbreaking US$15 million ed-tech accelerator initiative in Kenya and Nigeria.
The fellowship’s inaugural year provided vital support to 12 Nigerian startups and an additional 12 Kenyan companies in 2023. With a forward-looking vision, the program aims to extend its support to a total of 36 ed-tech companies within the next two years.
As the Nigerian arm of the fellowship enters its second year, it is actively seeking fresh innovations from startups with ed-tech solutions poised to revolutionize learning experiences from preschool to the workplace.
Eligible startups should be Africa-focused and legally incorporated in Nigeria. The solutions presented should demonstrate the capacity to address challenges spanning K-12 education, formal and informal education, school management systems, tertiary education, corporate learning, and vocational skills training.
The call for applications for the 2024 cohort of fellows is an invitation to visionary startups ready to contribute to the transformation of education in Africa. The accelerator program offers selected fellows a comprehensive package of support, including expert advisory services, coaching and mentoring sessions, valuable networking opportunities, and access to a curated pool of investors.
