The AgriTech4Egypt Innovation Challenge is tailored specifically for early-stage agri-tech ventures in Egypt that have developed a minimum viable product (MVP) or proof of concept (POC).
Focus on Priority Areas
This challenge seeks agri-tech innovations in key priority areas including digital agriculture, precision farming, agri-finance solutions, sustainable value chain development, capacity building tools, and efficient irrigation water management.
Comprehensive Support for Ventures
Selected ventures will receive comprehensive support to establish a solid go-to-market strategy, including technical validation and access to the market. They will benefit from a fully funded, four-day immersive bootcamp, networking opportunities with partners and agribusinesses, expert guidance from CGIAR scientists and industry experts, and a sponsored six-month acceleration program.
Equity-Free Grants and Market Exposure
Ventures will have the opportunity to test and validate their solutions with end-users for up to six months. Additionally, they will receive up to EGP300,000 (US$6,500) as an equity-free grant provided by ASRT. Participating ventures will also gain exposure to potential investors and market opportunities.
Application Details
Applications for the AgriTech4Egypt Innovation Challenge are open until April 21. The accelerator program is scheduled to take place between June and October, with a demo day set for November.
