Bildup AI, the fast-growing Nigerian AI-powered learning platform, has successfully closed a $400,000 angel investment round, backed by a group of undisclosed investors. The round, which was oversubscribed, marks a major milestone for the company as it accelerates its mission to transform how Africa learns and prepares for the future of work.

Bildup AI is pioneering a new model of education that blends artificial intelligence with purpose-driven learning. The platform delivers personalised, practical, and affordable learning experiences that empower young people, professionals, and organisations to thrive in an AI-powered world.

“It’s incredibly encouraging when something that started as an attempt to solve a personal pain point grows into a national project,” said Chibuike Aguene, CEO of Bildup AI. “We’re not just building a product. We’re building a transformative organisation that will shape generations to come and redefine how we learn forever.”

With the new funding, Bildup AI plans to scale its operations, expand its team, and launch physical AI Learning Centres in Abuja and Lagos by early 2026, with more cities to follow. These centres will complement the company’s online platform, offering hybrid learning experiences that combine digital access with in-person mentorship, community, and hands-on training.

“We’re writing our own playbook,” Aguene said. “In every generation, there are a few startups with a mission that has generational impact — a mission that shapes an industry or creates a new one. Bildup AI is one of those organisations for this generation.”

Bildup AI is already making waves across Nigeria. Learners on the platform are accessing high-quality education at over 80% less cost than traditional training centers and learning up to 70% faster, thanks to its adaptive AI engine.

“We’ve had learners who previously paid between ₦350,000 to ₦450,000 at various tech training centers,” Aguene shared. “After months, they still didn’t understand the basics. They came to Bildup AI, enrolled in our ₦50,000 Full Stack Software Engineering program, and within weeks, they were building real projects and regaining their confidence.”

From students in Enugu to young professionals in Lagos, to corporate teams in Abuja, people across Nigeria are turning to Bildup AI to upskill, reskill, and future-proof their careers.

“Our AI-powered ecosystem isn’t just delivering world-class personalised training through AI Facilitators, AI Academic Advisors, and AI Career Coaches,” Aguene emphasised. “We’re empowering learners to think critically, solve real-world problems, and build with purpose. That’s what the future of learning demands.”

While Bildup AI is powered by artificial intelligence, it’s not just for tech careers. The platform is designed to serve learners across every sector — from agriculture to healthcare, education to entrepreneurship, media to public service.

“This is not just about tech,” Aguene clarified. “We’re empowering young people across every sector to build the mindset, skills, and clarity to thrive in a world shaped by AI, regardless of their chosen path.”

At the heart of Bildup AI’s success is its team — a group Aguene proudly calls the “A-Team.”

“Steve Jobs once said A-players attract A-players. That’s exactly what we have. These guys are super talented, deeply committed, and driven by a high sense of purpose.”

While the identities of the angel investors remain undisclosed, Aguene expressed deep gratitude for their belief in the company’s vision.

“We thank all our investors for their confidence in what we’re building and for supporting this journey early,” he said. “I can say without doubt — they have made a historic investment that will be part of history. The impact will echo for generations to come.”

Bildup AI is an indigenous AI-powered learning platform based in Nigeria. It empowers learners and organisations with personalised, practical, and purpose-driven knowledge to thrive in an AI-powered world. Through its hybrid model — combining online learning with physical AI Learning Centres — Bildup AI is building a new future for education in Africa.
