Techstars has opened applications for its Spring 2027 accelerator programmes, offering accepted startups a $220,000 investment alongside mentorship, investor access and other support. Applications opened on August 24 and will close on November 18.
The accelerator programmes are designed for early-stage startups and provide three months of intensive mentorship, access to Techstars’ global network of founders, investors and corporate partners, as well as startup perks.
Techstars’ current investment package consists of $200,000 through an uncapped Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE) and $20,000 through a Post-Money Convertible Equity Agreement.

The accelerator takes at least 5% common equity through the $20,000 agreement, while the $200,000 SAFE can convert into additional equity depending on the terms of a company’s subsequent financing.
Techstars adds AI health programme to Spring 2027 offerings
One of the programmes accepting applications is Techstars AI Health Baltimore, which focuses on startups using artificial intelligence to improve healthcare delivery, affordability, access and patient outcomes.
The Baltimore programme is backed by a collaboration involving Johns Hopkins, CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield, MedStar Health, the University of Maryland Baltimore and the University of Maryland Medical System.
Techstars said founders in the programme can gain access to clinical environments, healthcare operational models, payer and reimbursement insights, regulatory expertise and commercialisation pathways.
The Spring 2027 accelerator programmes are scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027, with Demo Day scheduled for June 3.

Techstars says applicants can begin an application year-round, but applications submitted after the listed deadline are moved into a general pool and may not receive consideration at the same time as applications submitted before the deadline.
The accelerator has backed more than 3,200 companies, according to information on its application platform, while its current accelerator offering provides founders with funding, mentorship and access to its global network. To apply, interested startups can visit Techstars’ official website.
