The prestigious Injini Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship has unveiled its second cohort, comprising twelve innovative South African startups poised to make waves in the education technology sector. Injini: Pioneering EdTech Accelerator
Injini, Africa’s premier ed-tech exclusive accelerator, founded in 2017 under the UVU Africa Group, spearheads this initiative. Driven by a non-profit ethos, Injini is dedicated to enhancing educational quality, accessibility, and relevance throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The accelerator leverages its programs and the research endeavors of the Injini Think Tank to pursue this mission.
Partnership with Mastercard Foundation
Injini’s collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation birthed the EdTech Fellowship for South African startups. This initiative, initiated last year, equips participating startups with a comprehensive support package. This includes direct grants, product evaluations, workshops, mentorship, market research, and facilitated market access opportunities.

After a rigorous selection process, twelve startups have been chosen for the fellowship’s second iteration.
