    Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) has approved a commitment of up to $100 million to invest in Africa-focused technology fund managers. As part of the initial deployment, AFC has made anchor commitments to Lightrock Africa Fund II and Future Africa Fund III, positioning the corporation across the full innovation lifecycle – from early-stage venture capital through to growth-stage scaling.     2. Spearhead Africa Infrastructure Fund lists on Nairobi exchange

    Spearhead Africa Asset Management has listed the Spearhead Africa Infrastructure Fund (SAIF) on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). SAIF will invest in a diversified portfolio of senior debt across private-sector-led infrastructure projects in East Africa, with an immediate pipeline of projects in renewable energy, digital infrastructure, logistics and electrification.     3. South Africa: Climate Fund Managers supports green methanol project

    Climate Investor Three, through its affiliate SA-H2 Fund, a blended finance facility managed by Climate Fund Managers in partnership with Invest International, has signed a development funding agreement with Green eFuels Producers (GeFP). The agreement supports the development of a first-of-its-kind green methanol production facility in Gauteng, South Africa. Read the full article

    4. Investisseurs & Partenaires fund-of-funds makes first investment

    Financing for Agricultural SMEs in Africa (FASA) has made its first investment by committing $5 million to Catalyst Fund, a pan-African venture capital fund supporting entrepreneurs developing solutions to help communities adapt to the growing impacts of climate change, including droughts, extreme weather and food insecurity.     5. Africa Innovation & Healthcare Fund II portfolio company raises $12m

    AAIC Investment has announced that Aumet, a portfolio company of its Africa Innovation & Healthcare Fund II, has completed a Series A funding round, raising a total of $12 million. Aumet is a health-tech company that develops AI-powered healthcare procurement and supply chain platforms for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Read the full article
