1. Climate Fund Managers reaches first close for SA-H2 Fund
Climate Fund Managers has announced the first close of its SA-H2 Fund, also known as Climate Investor Three (CI3) South Africa, with R3 billion (about $182 million) in commitments. SA-H2 invests in large-scale energy transition projects across the green hydrogen value chain, including green hydrogen production, downstream derivatives such as green ammonia and green methanol, and the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industries. British International Investment has announced a $20 million commitment to the Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund. Fintech company Moment has announced the close of its $22 million Series A funding round, led by AlphaCode Venture Partners, with continued investment from General Catalyst, MultiChoice, and fresh investment from Canal+. Moment is a pan-African payment infrastructure company headquartered in Cape Town, providing omni-channel payment solutions, intelligent collection tools, and embedded financial services to African businesses.
