Monierate, the real-time exchange rate intelligence platform, has expanded its rate radar to include a new set of providers: Textile, Gate Exchange, Doux, MavaPay, Zobo, Vban, and Karsa, bringing its total coverage to over 90 sources across the African exchange market.

The expansion gives fintechs, neobanks, treasury teams, and cross-border businesses a wider, more accurate view of where African currencies are trading in real time, reducing the blind spots that come from relying on a handful of providers.

For pricing teams, remittance operators, and businesses moving money across borders, the rate that matters is rarely a single number; it’s the spread across the whole market. The reality before now often meant checking multiple apps by hand or relying on informal WhatsApp groups for second-hand quotes. Monierate consolidates that fragmented view into one live feed for businesses and investment houses.

    Why broader coverage matters

Every additional source sharpens the market picture. A wider set of providers means tighter visibility into the true spread, how far apart the cheapest and most expensive rates sit and a more reliable composite index for teams that set their own rates.

“Our goal has always been to be a transparent and independent source of truth across supported currencies. Every provider we add makes the market a little more transparent for the businesses that depend on accurate pricing.”

The newly added providers extend Monierate’s reach across additional P2P liquidity and remittance corridors, neobank rates, deepening coverage on existing pairs and new corridors such as KES, GHS, ZAR, and BRZ.

    What this means for users

With the expanded radar, Monierate users can now:

    • Compare live currency rates across a broader set of providers in one place.
    • Track the market spread with greater accuracy as more sources feed the index
    • Identify the most competitive provider for a given transaction faster
    • Set their own rates with confidence, backed by a fuller view of the market
    • Analyse the currency market with Monierate Intelligence dashboard
    • Access more providers in Kenya, Ghana

The additions are live now and available to all Monierate users across the platform’s dashboard and API:

    • Textile, a decentralised and non-custodial provider for stablecoin liquidity such as NGN <> USDT
    • Doux Finance, building modern financial products for the next generation of African users and businesses.
    • Gate Exchange, enabling users to buy, sell and manage digital assets securely globally.
    • Vban, simplifying access to global banking and virtual account solutions for freelancers.
    • Zobo, offering digital financial services that improve everyday money management.
    • Karsa, helping users access modern financial solutions designed for Asian and African consumers.
    • MavaPay: connecting users and businesses to friction-free Bitcoin Lightning and fiat rail infrastructure.

    What’s next

The rate radar expansion is part of Monierate’s broader push to become the definitive source for NGN and other African stablecoin exchange rate data. The company plans to continue onboarding new providers and expand into additional corridors.

API endpoints remain constant and fully operational.
