Activision has released a video that shows a legal representative serving cease-and-desist papers to Elocarry, a well-known Call of Duty cheat seller. The video, posted on the official Call of Duty account, shows the representative arriving at Elocarry’s house in Ohio with the documents.
According to Activision, the company has disrupted over 375 cheat reseller operations, served more than 80 cease-and-desist notices, and shut down more than 30 vendors. Activision says it is ready to take cheat developers and sellers to court if necessary.
Elocarry does not react strongly during the brief exchange.
Elocarry’s Call of Duty Cheats and Activision’s Anti-Cheat Crackdown
Elocarry’s website offers cheats for games such as Rust, ARC Raiders, Marvel Rivals, and Apex Legends, including aimbots and ESP (extrasensory perception) tools.
He was also selling a cheat pack for Black Ops 7 and Warzone, which was promoted as undetectable by the Ricochet anti-cheat system. Subscriptions for three months were priced as high as $108.
Activision posted a follow-up on X that included a screenshot from Elocarry’s official Discord channel, confirming that sales and availability of Call of Duty cheats had been temporarily paused while the matter was “reviewed internally.”
Activision has a history of taking action against Call of Duty cheaters. In 2020, the company issued a legal threat that led CxCheats to stop developing and selling Call of Duty hacks.
In 2021, Activision banned 60,000 Warzone accounts in a single action, raising the total number of permanent bans to over 300,000 at that time.
In late 2021, Activision launched Ricochet and stated that repeat offenders could face permanent bans across all Call of Duty titles.
The anti-cheat system has used several methods against suspected cheaters, such as making legitimate players invisible to them, removing weapons from cheaters, and creating fake player clones that only flagged accounts can see.
Activision has also backed up its courtroom warnings. In 2024, a California judge awarded the publisher $14.5 million in damages from EngineOwning, which sold Call of Duty cheats, along with almost $293,000 in attorneys’ fees, and ordered EngineOwning to hand over its website.
What Activision May Do Next Against Elocarry
Elocarry may need to take the cease-and-desist seriously, as pausing sales could be only the first step if Activision chooses to pursue legal action. Activision has not said whether it plans to take further steps against Elocarry, and the result of the internal review mentioned in his Discord has not been shared.
The ongoing campaign, with over 375 disrupted operations and 80 demands served, shows that Activision is increasing its enforcement efforts against cheat sellers.
