    Sajan Shah

Verdant Capital has appointed Sajan Shah as director for East Africa and opened a new office in Nairobi, Kenya.

Shah joins Verdant with about a decade of investment banking experience. He most recently worked at BDO East Africa, where he built and led deal advisory teams, and previously worked as a private credit investor at Cygnum.

The Nairobi office will support Verdant’s corporate finance and investment activities across East Africa.

Verdant currently has mandates in six countries in the region across financial services, technology, mining, logistics, renewable energy and real estate. Its work includes sell-side mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring, equity and debt raising, streaming and offtake transactions.

The Verdant Capital Hybrid Fund is also active in East Africa, with four investments located in or operating across the region.
