As one of the Platinum Sponsors of Nigeria Fintech Forum 2026, Nosh joined industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders at The Civic Centre, Lagos, for conversations on the future of fintech in Nigeria.

The event provided a platform to discuss the trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the industry, while reinforcing Nosh’s commitment to building simpler financial experiences across Nigeria and Ghana.

Representing Nosh were Tosin Akintibu, Product Manager, who delivered a keynote presentation on simplifying digital spending, and Mosadoluwa Hezekiah, Marketing Manager, who participated in a panel discussion on growth strategies for fintech companies.

Making digital assets more useful for everyday users

In her keynote session, Akintibu discussed how fintech products can create more value by focusing on simplicity and usability.

She explained that access to digital assets is only one part of the challenge. The bigger opportunity lies in helping users seamlessly use those assets for everyday financial needs.

Through its platform, Nosh allows users to trade gift cards, convert cryptocurrencies to local currency, pay bills, purchase eSIMs, and book flights.

According to Akintibu, every product decision should answer one important question: does it make financial transactions easier for users?

“The real gap in fintech isn’t getting people digital assets, it’s making those assets usable in daily life.”

“Our job is to remove friction, not add features for the sake of it. Every decision we make on the product side starts with one question: does this make spending simpler for our users?”, Akintibu added.

Building trust as fintech competition grows

During the growth-focused panel, Hezekiah discussed how fintech companies are adapting as the industry moves beyond early-stage customer acquisition.

He explained that sustainable growth now requires platforms to focus on retention, customer experience, and trust.

“Acquisition got us in the door, but sustainable growth means designing for retention and lifetime value from day one. We’re increasingly building campaigns and product touchpoints that convert first-time users into loyal, repeat users, because in this market, trust compounds.”

He also highlighted the importance of presenting compliance as a foundation for better customer experiences.

Rather than viewing security measures and regulatory alignment as limitations, Hezekiah said fintech companies should position them as reasons users can confidently trust their platforms.

“Customers don’t want to hear ‘compliance’ as a caveat; they want to feel it as reliability. We talk about security, licensing, and regulatory alignment as part of what makes Nosh a platform people can trust with their money.”

Bringing fintech conversations closer to users

Beyond discussions on stage, Nosh engaged attendees through its exhibition booth, giving visitors the opportunity to interact with the team and learn more about its services.

The company also hosted a raffle draw, rewarding attendees with three MacBook Neos, four Redmi 15 devices, four Redmi Note 15 smartphones, and branded merchandise.

A Nosh spokesperson said the company’s participation reflected its commitment to engaging with the wider fintech community.

“Events like this give us the opportunity to connect directly with the community we build for, exchange ideas with peers shaping the industry, and celebrate our users in person.”

As fintech adoption continues to grow across Africa, Nosh says its focus remains on building simple, reliable tools that help users manage digital payments and assets more easily.
